Payments
This guide covers adding and managing your payment method, viewing your card on file, and understanding how plan changes affect your billing.
Adding a payment method
Section titled “Adding a payment method”-
Navigate to Usage & Billing
Sign in to team.sprigr.com and click Usage & Billing in the sidebar.
-
Click “Add Payment Method”
In the Billing section, click Add Payment Method. This opens a secure payment form provided by our payment gateway.
-
Enter your card details
Fill in your card number, expiry date, and security code in the payment form. The form is hosted by the payment gateway, so your card details go directly to it — Sprigr Teams never sees or stores your card number.
-
Complete the form
When the form confirms your card, the window closes and the Billing section shows your new card on file. Your card is charged automatically each billing cycle.
Viewing your card on file
Section titled “Viewing your card on file”The Billing section on the Usage & Billing page shows your current payment method as, for example, “Visa ending in 4242” with its expiry date. Card type (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Diners), the last four digits, and the expiry are the only card details Sprigr Teams keeps.
To update your payment method, click Update Card and enter the new card in the secure payment form. The new card replaces the old one immediately and is used for all future charges.
Changing plans and proration
Section titled “Changing plans and proration”When you change plans mid-billing cycle:
- Upgrading — You are charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the current billing period, immediately. The new plan’s limits apply right away, and from the next billing date you pay the new plan’s full price.
- Upgrading from Free — The full plan price is charged immediately and your billing cycle starts from that day. A payment method on file is required.
- Downgrading — Nothing is charged now. The lower plan takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you keep your current plan’s features until then.
Before confirming a plan change, you will see a preview of the amount due now and your next billing date, so there are no surprises.
Billing cycle
Section titled “Billing cycle”Sprigr Teams bills on a recurring cycle — monthly or yearly, depending on the billing interval you chose — starting from the date you first subscribed. Your card is charged automatically at the start of each cycle.
Failed payments
Section titled “Failed payments”If a payment fails, a Payment failed notice appears on the Usage & Billing page asking you to update your payment method. You have time to fix the card before anything is restricted; if payments keep failing, the account is suspended until the payment method is updated, and the page shows an Account suspended notice.
